Director - Research & Development Center

Job Title : Director- : R&D Center

Location : Gurgaon

Responsible for leading the R&D

Main Activities :

- Disciplinary lead of the competency center/R&D team (about 60 engineers)

- Human resources capacity planning, allocation, management and development (trainings)

- Management of employee working environment (infrastructure, tools)

- Team development

- Monitoring and improving productivity for product development and product sourcing for the world market.

- Responsible for adherence to corporate compliance and environmental policies, as well as global R&D processes and methodologies.

- Implement global strategy and business objectives

Projects : Monitor and ensure proper project execution (in budget, with agreed content, in time, on quality), accept milestones and ensure adherence to product development processes.

Technology : Define and execute technology projects, maintain technology roadmap

Qualification :

Essential :

- Mechanical / Electrical / Computer Science - Engineering Graduate from Premier University / Institute

- Post graduation in Engineering will be added advantage

- MBA from premium B-School, would be added advantage.

Desirable :

- Work in a high-end complex machine industry (conceptualization, designing, execution, PLC).

- Dealing with Multi cultural environment including European culture

Experience and Domain Knowledge :

Essential:

- 15 + years of experience out of which minimum10-12 years relevant experience in managing product development in an international environment

- Experienced in development approaches covering and improving the whole development lifecycle (V-Model, CMMI, FDD, TDD) and requirements engineering

- Experienced in effort estimation, overall project planning and risk management

- Experienced in technical projects, ideally machine development projects consisting of mechanics, electronics, real-time control software and embedded application software

Desirable :

Skills requirements : The person will be responsible for the local Indian R&D operation including associated support functions. He will be working very closely with the team in India and European HQ and ensure timely progress of projects and strategic activities.
