Director - Relationship management (Wholesale Banking)
Overview :
We intend to increase its focus on India by strengthening the client coverage team. The team will be based in Singapore and move to India after it sets up an office which is expected in 1 to 2 years. We will focus on large Indian clients having an international presence and target their offshore banking requirements. We offer almost all wholesale banking products across 40 countries where we have its presence. The role involves sourcing business from Indian clients across the product suite.
Key Responsibilities :1. Senior coverage banker responsible for onboarding new clients & maintain existing relationships
2. Interact closely with our sector teams in Singapore for seeking commercial & credit approvals
3. Closely monitor clients to ensure credit quality is maintained and take corrective action including client exits, if necessary
4. Marketing our products to Indian clients
5. Regular engagement with the product teams across the network to deepen client wallet
6. Regularly review the account plans with teams across the network to ensure client revenue & profitability moves up over time
We are looking for :1. Wholesale banking client coverage experience between 7-10 years
2. Conversant in English & Hindi and preferably, one more Indian language
3. Open to move to India in time
4. Must have handled 10 or more Indian clients during the past
5. Good knowledge on Indian economy, dominant sectors in India (like TMT, pharma, auto components, etc) & leading business groups in India
6. Good knowledge on risk assessment, credit monitoring and wholesale banking products
7. Good relationship with other MNC banks in India to participate in syndicated & club facilities and share credit views on clients, if necessary
