Acquisition JOB DESCRIPTION of QC Director

Role requires a business oriented quality specialist with excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and test automation expertise. In this organization, the role also includes the day to day management of documentation staff although substantial experience in the documentation area is a requirement. Role also includes the startup task of learning the product capabilities and installation procedures, selecting a test automation framework, and building the core testing team ensuring that they are properly trained, capable, and enabled to deliver.

Leads the implementation of quality assurance processes and techniques to ensure the quality of our next generation multi-tenant cloud ERP platform. Creates detailed test plans for key platform capabilities and features and then mentors test teams on the testing of these capabilities. Responsible for managing the automation of key tests and establishing and enforcing key testing processes to ensure the continued creation of a substantial library of automated test cases. Prototypes new test technologies, methods, and frameworks and provides feedback and recommendations to engineering management on the viability of various options and participates in the decision making process about the direction of QA. Manage the creation and deployment of QA test environments. Leads the growth and development of all QA staff across the companies.

Employees in this job direct the activities of Quality Control Analysts involved in activities designed to measure and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the processes used for the delivery of public assistance and services. The employee works within general methods and procedures and exercises considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of quality control work, and supervisory techniques, personnel policies, and procedures.

- Recommends and initiates procedures and systems to improve work flow and efficiency.

- Coordinates, directs, and monitors all functions of the Quality Control Department.

- Maintains an efficient and flawless delivery.

- Reviews and approves analytic and accurate reports for products.

- Participates in audits and supports inspections

- Ensure the implementation of QA/QC requirements at the job site;

- Perform pre-inspection to ensure that all installed materials are in conformance with the applicable standards, pictures and specifications;

- Conduct interim and final inspections with owner’s representative per inspection and testing procedures (I.T.P.);

- Continually monitor work in-progress to ensure compliance with QA/QC and other project requirements;

- Act as an accessible resource on QA/QC issues; Prepare schedules for the project manager and assist with elements of project controls;

- Prepare required documentation and maintain files for final turnover to the client

- Establishes (where necessary), revises, and updates Standard Operating Procedures, analytical procedures, raw material specifications, and protocols.

- Keeps abreast of current trends, practices, developments and regulatory changes, which would impact company's products

- Through individual guidance, mentors and coaches Quality Control personnel to grow in their positions develop their skills and future potential and maintain a high level of knowledge in the Quality Control environment.

- Takes affirmative action in all conditions of employment to ensure that equal opportunity efforts and results are consistent with Company policies and practices.

- Indoctrinates each staff member thoroughly in established Company policies, procedures, and Company philosophy and business practices.

- Exercises administrative control over the Quality Control personnel (i.e., interviewing, training, departmental orientation, salary reviews, performance reviews, etc.) in conjunction with the Director of Quality.

- Strengthens the Quality Control Department by contributing innovative ideas, expertise, and knowledge

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include:

- Work with product management and application delivery management to understand application requirements, create platform and application test cases, and guide staff in the execution and automation of these tests.

- Research new test automation technologies and create testing approaches to integrate these technologies into the existing test architecture, platforms, and processes.

- Identify application UI, middle tier, and database operational capacity and performance issues through substantial performance and load testing.

- Provide validation support to the internal support organization for difficult bug reports.

- Manage internal testing environments.

- Screen, interview, and select senior test engineers.

- Establish quality processes and ensure these processes are followed by all development teams.

- Advise R&D leadership and senior business executives about quality technology and process matters.

- Provide leadership, direction and coaching to test engineers for their professional development.

Secondary Responsibilities include:

- Take ownership and delivery responsibility for special projects and company initiatives.

- Present quality assurance information on products, technologies, projects, initiatives, and other subjects to peers, teams, and upper management.

- Assume a leadership role in educating the business and technical community on quality assurance technology, processes, and other areas of expertise.

- This position requires occasional travel to corporate headquarters in Northern Europe.

Qualifications:

- 7+ years professional test experience.

- 5+ years professional test automation experience.

- 3+ years load testing and performance testing experience.

- 3+ years managing a quality assurance team.

- 5+ years professional experience with MS SQL Server.

- 3+ years professional experience in a Java environment.

- 3+ years professional experience in a web environment.

- 3+ years working on enterprise scale product testing.

- 5+ years in an Agile environment.

Desired Experience

- A Post Graduate with certification on Quality Standards; or, its equivalent in training.

- Minimum 15+ experience is required.

- Considerable interpersonal skills are required to interact with internal Dept Heads and external Clients.

- A comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of quality control.

- A broad understanding of CMMI Level 5 and Quality Standards.

- Must possess good judgment and problem solving skills.

- Must possess strong organizational ability.
