Director - Quality Assurance - Manufacturing Firm
Responsibilities include:
- Drive Change management throughout the organization.
- Lead global QMS policy & procedure creation, modification and implementation to drive towards continuous improvement.
- Develop and lead engineers and nontechnical team members for categories supported.
- Ability to communicate quality direction, policy, procedures and departmental objectives throughout the organization and hold the team accountable for executing to these standards.
- Evaluate and ensure team's assessment of vendors/ factories for overall performance, to ensure sustainability in quality execution, capacities and that capability are in line with the most current International Safety and
Regulatory requirements:
- Sustain onboarding of new vendor/factories in partnership with cross functional teams, ensuring consistent compliance to requirements.
- Ensure teams are validating vendor/factories and are working toward continuous improvement and utilizing tools to identify defect trends, applying root cause, application of root cause and preventative action planning in a proactive manner to ensure measurable improvement.
- Hold vendors accountable to quality ensuring that products meet/beat quality standard.
- Provide feedback on job performance and coach team on appropriate communication.
- Advocate for product quality, safety & compliance throughout the enterprise.
- Champion, lead and support enterprise level projects that implement key strategies and solutions
- Understand PSQA core foundations to hold team accountable to the execution of the PSQA program.
- Strategic influence of PSQA's program
- Develop team's category and technical expertise.
- Knowledge of quality and manufacturing principles.
About Role :- Degree in technical or business discipline with appropriate experience
- 10+ years' experience in industry; includes retail compliance, quality management, product or manufacturing industry equivalent.
- Knowledge of quality control/assurance processes and tools
- Knowledge of raw materials characteristics and manufacturing processes
- Ability to translate strategy to execution
- Proficient in applying the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), statutes, legislations, regulations and industry standards
