Role: Director - Public Relations, Media and Communication
Reporting to- Vice Chancellor
The recruited members will play an integral part in the creation and development of the new university and will assist in determining its strategy and direction. The successful candidates will be part of the senior management team reporting to the Vice Chancellor to develop the University's overall strategies, policies and programs
As a Director - Public Relations, Media and Communication the candidate would be focusing on building the University's brand image, required to oversee communication within the University and also the flow of information to the public.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Director- Public Relations, so designated in relation to the authority concerned, shall be-
- Act as the University representatives and maintain good-natured, cooperative relationships with the news media, consumers, the government, local communities and other public-interest groups
- To use a wide range of media to build and sustain a good image for the university through planned publicity campaigns and PR activity
- Build & work with media partners to publish timely company information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials through print / digital / TV media
- Working with PR agency and executing various profiling opportunity with print, electronic and wire media
- Co-prepare; co-ordination of press release, proactive and reactive articles, results and etc
- Create various reports such as Competition analysis, Key journalists, media value and etc
- Maintaining PR content pipeline and acting as agency spokesperson
- Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization's strategic vision.
- Manage relationships with media outlets.
- Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education.
- Document presence of companies at events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
- Advocate on behalf of the company brand with external stakeholders and the media across all communications channels and vehicles.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop the advertising, marketing and promotion plans.
- Edit and revise content as necessary.
Requirements/Eligibility:
- Master's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute
- Preference would be given to candidate having at least 10 years of experience in similar profile with a reputed University / Higher Educational Institution
- Preference would be given for candidates from top engineering institutes with global exposure handling large volume of students
- Candidates are expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must have an intimate knowledge of the higher education landscape in India and internationally
- Candidates with the will to drive the vertical completely by recruiting their own team and set up the policies
