Director - Product Management - EdTech Startup

We are looking to hire Director Product Manager someone who is an expert in understanding requirements, helping to define a product vision and strategy, and working with world-class engineers to execute it.

Our Client is on a mission to democratize online education. Their vision is to become the default teaching app. There goal here is to make online teaching easy and accessible to all the teachers in India.

Backed by some of the marquee investors (Learn Capital, Lightspeed India, Better Capital, Kunal Bahl, Rohit Bansal) in India and have raised over $20 Million.

Role:

Looking for someone who understands user psychology, behavior and has the required design sense, someone who is very passionate about products and wants to make and break through lots of experiments. You will be working along with an experienced & stellar team (ex-McKinsey, Swiggy, OYO, Times Internet), alumni of IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi.

What you'll do :

1. Leading the product. Bringing in the structuring and streamlining of workflow.

2. Hiring really smart PMs and Designers and building the product team.

3. Closely working with co-founders in coming up with product strategy and creating product roadmaps based on the company's strategy.

4. Coming up with a plan of execution for every project. Catch up with PMs and Senior PMs on daily basis.

5. Collaborate with the Engineering team to plan and implement projects.

6. Sprint planning and quality check of the product. Identifying bottlenecks in the user flow and solving them on priority.

What we're looking for :

1. At Least 7+ years of Product Management experience, leading products from development to launch. You will be single handedly managing and executing your product.

2. Co-founded a startup (preferably an Ed tech startup), worked in a product based company. Have seen the structuring and built products from scratch. Seen product scale and identified problems at scale.

3. Set up processes in the past companies. Handled a team of at least 10 PMs in the past.

4. Insanely proactive and innovative - we rely on your feedback to build a world-class product.

5. Believes in a data driven approach. Come up with North Star metrics for each product and feature and make decisions based on data. A go-getter attitude. We take this very seriously. Drive the whole product team based on user demand and data.

6. Previously worked in a high growth Ed-tech Startup.

7. You are experienced and comfortable working at the technical level, understanding APIs and data.

8. You are experienced working on a self-organizing agile software team.

9. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have written PRDs in the past.

10. You have a Bachelors/Masters degree or equivalent experience.
