Responsibilities:
- The Director Product Development is responsible for the operations of the Product Development Center (Located in Bangalore) as independent Business Unit and Profit Centre and reports in his role to the CTO.
- Overlooks day-to-day operations of the complete Development lifecycle including the entire Product and Project Development Process and ensures the delivery according to the agreed timeline and resource utilization according to the planning.
- In this role he/she provides a strong business view combined with direction setting and management of a Software technical development team.
- Monitors and maintains the Development Center's high level project assignment and resource planning and regularly reports the key performance indicators, costs and spent efforts to the .
- Aligns the international activities and duties with the India legal and local practices and requirements.
- Synchronizes closely with the Product Delivery Directors in connection with the Development Center delivery capacity in order to fulfill the demands towards the Development Center.
Skills and Specifications:
- Well-founded Software-Engineering or IT education (with Bachelor or Master degree) or equal qualification
- Profound operational management experience in the area of either Software Product Development or with IT Software Projects, Minimum of 5 years (out of total experience) of hands-on experience in managing software development teams in an international environment.
- Strong leadership skills and strategic orientation
- Team building and management capability including conflict resolution
- Solution and target orientation, strong organizing skills with high ownership and reliability
- Resilient to pressure and possess good emotional intelligence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Broad knowledge of integration and interoperability of software systems and software technologies
- Proven background with state-of-the art IT technologies and software development processes and methodologies.
- Background or Professional experience with automotive enterprise or business processes is an advantage.
- Nice to have: Exposure to ERP, CRM products (Microsoft NAV and AX, CRM)
