Our client is a FTSE 100 company and a global leader in their business.
They are looking for an accomplished individual who can lead their global team of procurement professionals. This is a key strategic role within their global procurement team and will be accountable for building, developing, and leading the organization's global procurement operations team in Hyderabad.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Building and developing a scalable tactical sourcing and operations team model and leading that team within a global capability center.
- Maintaining accountability for service delivery, for the activities performed by team such as sourcing administrative and transactional support, management of supplier management process and so on.
- Establishing strong relationships with CXO level internal business stakeholders; building a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities and translating that across key supplier partners and spend categories.
- Preparing and holding business reviews with strategic global suppliers and stakeholders to review vendor performance, future opportunities, and/or challenges.
- Managing workflow, handling escalations, proactively engaging resources to address issues and effectively delegate workload across the team.
- Participating with globally distributed cross-functional teams in strategic decisions designed to meet quality and service goals.
- Solving complex customer support issues and proactively heading off negative service trends. Identifying and eliminating root cause barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality.
- Maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) of in-scope processes and reviewing these regularly.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- 12 to 15 years of relevant procurement leadership experience in a global business solutions role with a multinational corporation with global contracts.
- Prior experience of successfully setting up a sourcing team and procurement function in a shared capability center from scratch.
- In-depth experience in best-in-class procurement practices (category management, benchmarking, RFX, end to end contract management, etc.).
- Proven leadership skills dealing with diverse team members and colleagues including recruiting, training, relationship management, mentoring and utilization management.
- The ability to manage up and down the chain in a large complex organization.
- Master's Degree (MBA/MS) or relevant CIPS qualification.
