Role: Portfolio Allocation and SPV Operations Director
Role Summary: The role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's portfolio allocation, ensuring accurate and compliant deal allocations, and managing overall liquidity. This role involves comprehensive management of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), including regulatory reporting, financial oversight, and vendor management. The Director will lead a team to support these activities and work closely with commercial, risk, and tech teams to ensure efficient SPV operations and system development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in portfolio management and liquidity oversight, demonstrating leadership and strategic decision-making abilities.
The role entails the following responsibilities:
Portfolio Allocation Management:
- Oversee the allocation of the company's portfolio throughout the deals pipeline, ensuring deals are allocated correctly, including decisions on insurance.
- Ensure asset warehousing takes place in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Liquidity Management:
- Manage the company's liquidity to ensure sufficient cash flow and financial stability.
- Collaborate with the commercial teams to forecast liquidity needs and manage active portfolio allocations.
SPV Oversight and Management:
- Supervise regulatory reporting for SPVs, including audits and tax returns.
- Oversee all reporting from SPV compartments, ensuring accurate and timely investor reports.
- Manage the overall reporting of the notes program to thetop management, including Steering Committes.
Financial and Vendor Management:
- Approve expenditures related to SPVs, such as payments to SPV Managers and Insurance.
- Manage relationships with vendors to the notes, including managers and backup servicers.
- Assess the profitability of SPVs and escalate necessary actions to senior management.
Asset Management and Reporting:
- Manage assets within SPVs, reporting overdue accounts and coordinating with commercial and risk teams for follow-up.
- Support the distribution team in discussions with future SPV investors.
- Ensure continuous development and maintenance of systems (e.g., dashboards) to support SPV operations, co-developing requirements with Tech teams.
Team Leadership and Support:
- Lead a team responsible for supporting the above activities.
- Support commercial teams in their business activities, including liquidity management, forecasting, and active portfolio management.
Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure efficient and effective SPV operations, continually seeking improvements and innovations in processes.
- Maintain high standards of compliance and operational excellence across all areas of responsibility.
