Hiring PMO Director - IT division for Airline company

This role is responsible for effective Program management of all projects within Program New Era for Information Technology and related initiatives at (XXXXXXXXXXClientXXXXXXXXXX) The incumbent will also be responsible for developing & implementing change and programme management practices and leading strategic initiatives across functions, partnering with internal and external resources to ensure risks are mitigated, deliverables are met and that organisational changes are effectively adopted.

Key Accountabilities

- Champion programme management discipline by providing the processes, structures, and tools for individual programme management and program management across the company to ensure deliverables and standards are achieved. Contribute to overall program progress at all stages by following inclusive project approach.

- Keep the team fully updated and involved in the progress of the New Era program.

- Contribute effectively and actively in the communication plan of New Era.

- Effectively engage senior executives, peers, Business Process Owners (BPOs), super users, consultants and other team members to ensure that all initiatives & programs continues to remain aligned with its objectives.

- Effectively carry out strategic project planning & goal setting.

- Lead & engage in Process improvement and Standards development initiatives.

- Perform ongoing budget monitoring, project variances to ensure proactive and timely actions are taken to contain any overruns.

- Ensure that the Program New Era remains in active sight of the organisation.

- Act as ambassador of the program and ensure positive environment remains active about the project.

- Develop and evaluate methods, tools and techniques based on the project goals, resources needed, potential risks, time to market and budget constraints to support the Programme performance and recommend changes to ensure targets and conformance to standards are achieved.

- Develop and monitor a governance structure to ensure strategic initiative accountability is assigned, resources are optimally utilised and that the key results and deadlines are met.

- Maintain focused Program documentation and archives to ensure that only latest & up-to-date documentation is available.

- Develop, deploy and continuously monitor the risk and mitigation plan to ensure that risk do not derail the program at any stage.

- Develop, implement and practice best program management techniques and technologies.

- Ensures project prioritization and Portfolio Alignment balancing projects and communicating priorities internally outlining projects currently underway and those on the backlog, with their priority according to the overall business objectives.

- Provide regular program progress, exceptions and all related information to Program management leadership (Program Director, Business Process Owners).

- Responsible for overall program execution in timely and within budget manner.

- Proactively work with all entities of the program team to ensure smooth functioning and minimal disruptions.

- Coordinates with the Core Project Teams regarding content, project schedule and delivery of projects.

- Build effective relations with existing and potential customers, evaluating their needs and developing propositions to retain and enhance their satisfaction. Ensure that no intellectual property (IP) reaches unauthorised entities by implementing necessary Data Leakage Prevention (DLP).

- Strictly follow, propagate and ensure that corporate IT Security policy is adhered to.

- Ensure that all external communications are carried out in an effective manner that there is no leakage of data during transmission from source to destination.

- Ensure that all documents, communications, training materials, manuals, user guides, systems specifications, product manuals etc. are maintained in a secured environment and are easily available on demand only to authorised employees.

- Act in accordance and strictly abide by the security policies, procedures and controls within the company's IT Code of Conduct and escalate any instances of violation in a timely manner to guarantee the safe guard of company information and a responsible environment attitude.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree from a recognized institution or equivalent.

- PMP or Prince2 certification is necessary.

Skills:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Should have the ability to work effectively with people from a wide range of departments. Should have the ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Should have the ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
