About the role:
Operations Director - HVAC to lead and oversee the overall operations of our HVAC services, ensuring the highest level of performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the COO, this role is critical in ensuring smooth, effective, and efficient operations across multiple locations as we expand our services nationally and internationally.
Role & responsibilities:
1. Lead the entire HVAC operations team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all active sites and projects.
2. Develop and implement operational processes and SOPs to ensure consistent service delivery.
3. Oversee project management for installation, repair, and maintenance services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
4. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce project cycle times.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, other function heads and partners.
6. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure service delivery and client satisfaction.
8. Build, manage, and mentor a team of regional operations managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure optimal performance.
9. Develop and enforce safety standards and procedures to protect employees, customers, and the environment.
10. Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
11. Drive the adoption of digital tools and technologies to streamline operations, enhance service delivery, and improve data accuracy.
Preferred candidate profile:
1. Proven track record in managing HVAC projects, developing strategies for operational excellence, and driving innovation in project delivery and maintenance services.
2. 15+ years of progressive experience in HVAC operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing operations & maintenance in large-scale HVAC projects.
3. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
4. Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, energy efficiency, and sustainable design.
5. Proficient in HVAC systems design, installation, repair, and maintenance with a strong grasp of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Bonus points for:
- Knowledge of international HVAC standards and regulations is an advantage.
- International work experience in HVAC or Allied Industries
