Director - Ferro Alloys, Charge Chrome

Reporting to: Managing Director

Location: - Balasore

Qualification:- B.E. / B. Tech. (Metallurgy) + MBA (Optional)

- More than 20 years of experience in direct Plant operation

- At least 5 years as Head - Production

- Project Management (Desirable)

Objective :

- Leading and managing all plant operations with effective utilization of all resources and implementing industry best practices (such as TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Management, etc.) that contributes to improve productivity and efficiency

- Overall Incharge with responsibility to ensure compliance to all statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to plant operations

- Providing safe working environment and safeguard all assets

- Maintain cordial relationship with Union, local government and statutory bodies so as to maintain industrial peace and harmony

Key Responsibilities :

- Responsible for creating short and long term operational strategy in line with company vision and implementation of the same

- Responsible for improving profitability by process improvement, producing value added products at economical cost and cost optimization

- Identify & implement improvement projects based on Internal Rate of Return

- Identify production/ operational losses on a daily basis and take corrective action to eliminate losses

- Ensuring optimum level of stock of raw materials/ spares/ consumables and other resources to have uninterrupted production

- Ensure Overall Production effectiveness (OPE)/ Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for achievement of all Production Targets with respect to Quantity, Quality, Cost and Delivery

- Ensure progress on various business excellence initiatives and effective implementation of Business tools (Process improvement, TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Management, etc.) as per plan

- Ensuring for safeguarding men, machinery, products, raw materials and other resources

- Ensure disaster management and recovery plan

- Conduct benchmarking studies of leading Ferro alloys majors in order to identify and implement relevant best practices.

- Responsible for maintaining clean and green environment with adequate plantation and proper housekeeping
