Director - Marketing - Consultant

Consultant Role: Director of marketing

Great opportunity for experienced marketing folks looking to consult for a pioneer in GreenTech Ecommerce platform.

Key responsibilities

- The role will own two verticals - Sales and Marketing and will be responsible for driving revenue and growing the business

- The role will own P&L responsibility for all two verticals

- As owner of the MARKETING VERTICAL,

- Own the marketing channel stack to drive awareness, engagement, traffic and conversions to ensure target revenue achievement each month

- Devise the strategy for PPC, Affiliate and Performance marketing, and lead the in-house teams for management of all Digital Media (Paid Social, Display, Programmatic, & Video), database marketing (primarily email, push notification & SMS).

- Responsible for setting the Performance Marketing and Acquisition Strategy, including planning, budgeting, reporting and execution across multiple channels (owned & paid)

- Develop robust performance reporting framework, analytics, and ROI tracking for all digital channels as well as the app to optimize and improve marketing investments

- Develop strategies to achieve higher conversion rates and higher return rates on the website

- Manage third party agencies such as service providers and digital agencies

- Initiate user research to incorporate customer feedback into existing and prospective products and services

- As owner of SALES VERTICAL, the role will supervise the B2B and B2C sales teams to ensure target achievement

- The role will also plan and initiate strategic partnerships to leverage brand synergy (third party marketplaces, gifting websites, payment channel partners, and other internet players) in coordination with a team

- The role will work closely with the product team to ensure seamless product launch and marketing to ensure validation of the MVP

- The role will also be required to build the organization under him/her suitably to ensure seamless execution and target achievement which will include hiring, training, team development and most importantly compliance

- The role will report to the CEO

Key Skills

- MBA in Marketing or any other related field with minimum 10+ years of experience in performance marketing, with an experience of leading a team

- Prior experience in a consumer facing industry

- Strong data-driven orientation and analytical mindset with a focus on ROI

- Experience in marketing automation tools such as Web Engage and Clevertap

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Prior early stage start-up experience is strongly preferred
