Director for Low Carbon Built Environment and Sustainable Cooling
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Areas :
1. Identify, create, and pursue business development opportunities by developing big ideas and continuing domain work to have a significant impact.
2. Lead the development of new programs, policies, financing models, and deployment of appropriate technologies at scale towards decarbonising the building sector, sustainable and heat-resilient affordable housing, increasing access to thermal comfort, cooling and heat adaptation and reducing cooling related emissions.
3. Provide thought leadership, strategic communications and leadership on the team's policy, domain research, and analyses.
4. Collaborate and engage with the government, AEEE member companies, and funders.
5. Serve as a spokesperson for AEEE on a broad range of platforms.
Key Performance Indicators:
1. Ph.D. in public policy, architecture, engineering, management or related field.
2. 10+ years of manager and supervisory and 3+ years of fundraising experience.
3. International experience of having worked on building decarbonization or sustainable cooling projects.
Required Educational Qualification & Relevant:
Experience:
1. Master's degree in engineering, public policy, architecture, building science, management or a related field.
2. 15+ years of relevant experience (business, industry, research, policy, technology) in the built environment and HVAC & R related work.
3. Strong executive presence with a good network and track record of developing relationships with funders, clients, partners, and service providers.
4. Demonstrated experience in conceiving ideas, developing proposals, and managing programs.
5. Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring teams.
6. Demonstrated ability to identify gaps and manage research.
7. Expertise in policy/technology/financing solutions.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Commitment to AEEE's vision, mission, values, theory of change, and organisational goals.
