Specific Responsibilities :

- Provide analysis and counsel on a range of legal issues, including corporate issues, business structures and models, property-related issues, employment issues, and software licenses.

- Interact and report to the company's US legal team and ensure alignment of strategies and goals on legal matters and projects.

- Analyze a broad range of complex laws and regulations affecting the operations of the company including those arising from corporate structures and business models.

- Engage and supervise outside counsel on complex legal issues.

- Liaise with India Leadership for all India-related matters including but not limited to legal, regulatory, and information security compliance.

- Work in close coordination and consultation with various departments, line of business heads and process heads for review, drafting and negotiation of contracts, agreements (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs) and other customer contract related documents.

- Review and draft employment contracts, changes to existing contracts and employee management matters.

- Work with legal issues related to labor, employment, and other human resource matters,including but not limited to ethics compliance, code of conduct, employee relations, compensation and benefits Policies and POSH.

- Understand market practices and legal implications for company and be well versed with legal (Government/Courts) announcements/changes.

Basic Qualifications:

- Education : Bachelor's Degree or Masters degree in Law.

- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional work experience, especially legal experience in compliance or commercial law in a corporate (preferably IT)/reputed law firm.

- Ability to do in-depth research and to interpret written guidelines and documents.

- Strong grasp of code of conduct, business ethics policies, regulatory risk management and current compliance practices.

- Diligent and proactive, bring gravitas, excellent business judgment, legal acumen and ability to work both cross-functionally and independently.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (both written and oral).
