Director - Investment Banking

A large well known investment bank that provides M&A advisory and capital raising services to corporates.

Job description :

The Investment Banking Director works with our clients in achieving and executing their most important strategic and financial objectives. The Director will lead the execution of equity and debt financings, M&A, and restructuring transactions. The Director plays an active leadership role during every phase of the deal execution process, from the development of initial pitch material to deal closure. The Director is responsible for the integrity of the valuation analyses and merger and acquisition models developed. In addition, the Director co-leads new business development to support the growth of the firm.

Responsibilities :

- Execute sell-side, buy-side, and restructuring mandates

- Lead transactions from beginning to close (client sourcing, pitch, process management, valuation analyses, due diligence, negotiations, closing)

- Pursue business development opportunities with current / prospective clients through networking and other outreach strategies

- Cultivate / grow / maintain relationships with clients to identify new opportunities for advisory engagements

- Attract, manage, train and mentor junior team members

- Participate in all firm building activities, including strategy development, intellectual capital and process development, recruiting, and training

Requirements :

- 6-10 years of experience as an investment banker

- Proven track record in business development and deal origination

- Strong deal diligence, execution, negotiation and closing skills

- Strong team orientation and ability to train and mentor
