POSITION : Director - India Development Center

JOB LOCATION : Ahmedabad - India

ROLE PRIORITIES :

- Leadership of India Development Center Operations Team(IDC).

ROLE QUALIFICATION:

- Must understand operational excellence within a R& D organization.

- A leader who can effectively manage in a global, cross functional environment.

- Manage and Directs IDC development, QA, documentation and G&A (IT, Finance, HR) Functions.

- Must execute product design to meet company objectives.

- Must partner with management team to ensure effective product development and execution.

- Must develop systems and controls to ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Develop and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.

- Manages IDC operations budget.

- Builds, develops and manages a dynamic team capable of carrying out needed R&D initiatives.

- Commercial product experience a plus.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

- Masters in related field and at least 15 years experience in the IT arena. At least 10 years management and strategic experience in this field or MBA in related filed with 10 years experience 7 years of which must be managerial and strategic.

- Leadership position leading the development of application software.

- Experience leading in a global environment with a US based parent company.

- Demonstrative ability to lead people and get results through others.

- Develop a high performance team while increasing innovation and productivity.

- Ability to think ahead , plan over a 1-2 year time span and organize and manage multiple priorities.

- Problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both strategic and functional level.

- Technical skills in engineering management, quality assurance and costing.

- Employee training and development.

- Strong customer orientation.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Hands on experience in on-shore and off-shore operations.

- Exposure in handling HR and general management.

- Commitment to company values

- Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff.
