Position Overview:.
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Director to lead and shape the HR function for our India operations.
- This role will involve building a strong HR practice from the ground up, fostering a high-performance culture, and developing a robust Learning & Development (L&D) and Training function to support business objectives.
- This individual will work closely with the leadership team to ensure that HR initiatives align with the company's strategic goals, particularly as we embark on growing the organization in this region.
Key Responsibilities:.
HR Strategy & Leadership:.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Lead the HR function, ensuring best practices in recruitment, retention, employee engagement, performance management, and compensation.
- Act as a strategic business partner to the leadership team, providing HR guidance on all levels.
Building HR Systems and Processes:.
- Set up and streamline HR policies, processes, and systems tailored to the needs of the India operations.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and global company policies.
- Design an effective talent acquisition strategy for senior and mid-level roles within the organization.
Learning & Development and Training:.
- Establish an in-house Training & Academic Center to foster employee growth and address skill gaps.
- Create and implement robust training programs to support the development of employees across various levels.
- Identify training needs, and design programs that promote leadership development, technical upskilling, and soft skills enhancement.
Organizational Development:.
- Lead initiatives that promote a strong company culture and a positive work environment.
- Foster employee engagement, talent development, and leadership succession planning.
- Oversee performance appraisal systems to drive a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.
Change Management:.
- Guide the organization through changes as the business grows, particularly in terms of HR structures, workforce expansion, and global footprint.
- Support the leadership team with expertise in organizational design and transformation.
Compensation & Benefits:.
- Review and manage competitive compensation structures to attract and retain top talent.
- Lead initiatives around employee welfare, including health and wellness programs.
Key Requirements:.
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the industrial manufacturing. sector or a similar industry.
- Proven experience in setting up HR functions from scratch.
- Strong experience in establishing training and academic programs within the organization.
- Familiarity with Indian labor laws and compliance requirements.
