Director - Hedge Fund Accounting

Position : - Exe Director (Managing both India and Manila Ops)

Reporting to : - Managing Director

Location : - Bangalore, India

- Have a hands-on approach on workflows covering end to end accounting delivery for clients

- Develop strong relationships with clients and provide superior client service

- Monitor and validate that new business is properly on-boarded and relevant documentation is received

- Validate all NAV files are reviewed and sign-off in compliance with departmental procedures

- Work closely with various global business units and partner with operational teams to meet client deadlines and identify efficiencies

- Develop a strong team including mentoring staff and promoting career growth across team and business units

- Ensure technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient manner

- Work with technology to resolve any issues and improve processes

- Work closely with legal/compliance to ensure all funds are in compliance with the relevant regulatory authorities

- Provide management reporting and key process indicators to manager as needed

- Participate and lead business unit projects, corporate initiatives. Be viewed as a domain leader for HFS.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

- CPA/ Chartered Accountancy a plus

- Thorough knowledge of the hedge fund environment including accounting for investor allocations, share classes, and complex investment and securities processing

- Excellent interpersonal & leadership skills

Requirements:

- 13-15 years of Hedge Fund experience

- 8-10 years management experience

- Strong knowledge of hedge fund products

- Strong analytical skills

- Strong communication skills

- Proven adaptability and ability to work in a high growth area
