Director and Head Purchasing - Agri / Agro Commodity

- Effectively manage Operations, Financial & Techno-Commercial activities, Strategy Planning and Team Management.

- In-depth market understanding of Agri /Agro commodities & spend categories.

- Excellent negotiation skills.

- To formulate strategies and direction to ensure value add to business through the specific area of purchase that the manager is handling. 

- To ensure implementation of sound procurement processes and strategies to achieve the set objective.

- To direct, motivate and guide strategic buyers towards meeting of their individual and hence the departments objectives.

- Independent Management of diverse stakeholders.

- Set a growth trajectory and improve bottom line/profitability of the business.

- Ensure customer satisfaction through quality improvement and timely delivery and departmental administration.

Qualification And Experience :

1. Management background with 20-28 years experience preferably in an agro commodity trading company. Analysis, Trading, Procurement and hedging operations. Should have stable career with contributions at each of the places.

2. Having strong exposure in procurement from Agri Companies/Trading companies at National / Zonal and Global responsibilities, with professional companies and competitive environment.

3. Prior experience in successfully managing a profit centre in the Cotton or Agri industry-

4. Strong Techno-Commercial orientation.

5. Demonstrated leadership skills to lead and guide a highly dynamic team of professionals across a range of disciplines.
