Director - Global Capability Center

- Manage the overall UK GCC team of ~200 associates working across 4 locations Chennai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad. This person will report into UK GTDA CIO and have dotted line reporting into Global solutions, Global operations leaders in UK and GCC leader in India.

- 15+ years of commercial software engineering and leadership experience including complex programs and platforms

- Strong leadership experience, leading multiple teams, providing management and operational oversight, and making strategic decisions in a time-bound environment

- Strong bias towards delivering excellent customer experiences and the ability to lead teams to understand and empathize with customer needs across product, platform and services

- Leading the delivery of complex systems and distributed, service-based systems.

- Demonstrated ability to define and execute on long term application and process improvement initiatives.

- Leadership and line management experience including managing the technical deliverables of others, managing appraisals and performance, and managing team capacity and absence.

- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and allocate work within team to support product releases.

- Excellent communication and English language skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams

- Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work with non-technical business stakeholders and align on priorities and requirements.

- Strong sense of ownership of team commitments, deliverables and quality.

- A passion for software engineering, high standards and the delivery of testable quality code

- Current knowledge of contemporary and new standards, technologies, tools, frameworks and methods

- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma and process automation

- Experience knowledge sharing and mentoring junior colleagues.
