We are hunting for General Insurance professionals with background in underwriting or claims for our global client based out in Mumbai. Our client is a US group company which provides Risk Solutions to Financial & Insurance Industry.

Basic Job Function :

- Establish and implement business strategies with a longer term focus (3-5 years) based on the organization's vision.

- Responsible for a revenue growth target within the Vertical.

- Manage regulatory analysis and execution of our responses to regulatory changes.

- Seek new partnerships and acquisition opportunities.

Accountabilities :

- Work with industry associations and leading insurers to create an attractive platform for launch of LexisNexis products(25%)

- Make significant contribution to defining the direction of new products, processes, standards and operational plans with significant mid to long term impact on the Vertical overall results. (25%)

- Responsible for the yearly revenue growth of the Vertical.

- Achieve that revenue growth target through three methods ( 25%)

Innovation : Understand the challenges faced by the customer base, through working with the Client

- Engagement team as well as surveying and direct communication with the customers. Translate those challenges into innovative product offerings. Develop the business case for these innovative concepts.

New Product Development : For approved concepts, drive the development of new products in collaboration with the different teams such as New Product Execution and Product Management. Develop market requirements, pricing models, launch plans and other internal documents need to launch the product. Collaborate with Corporate Marketing on needed collateral.

- Winning business from competition: create innovative ways to prove our value proposition and develop bids to win business from the competition.

- Analyze impact of changes to laws and regulations.

- Determine our position regarding these changes. Work with the Government Relations team and/or industry representatives to develop strategies for responding to such changes. Meet with government agencies associated with such changes (10%)

- Seek new companies to develop partnerships with in order to achieve the growth target and develop the financial model associated with each partnership. 15%

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Associate Insurance from Insurance Institute of India or UK will be an added qualification).

- 10-15 years experience in marketing, underwriting or claims related to the Motor / General Insurance line of business

- New product development

- Customer needs mapping

- Development of official communications (e.g., RFPs)

- Financial analysis

- Development of market message and positioning

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- A results-oriented outlook with the ability to prioritize and deliver key initiatives.

- The ability to lead in a rapidly changing organization. Excellent people and project management skills.

- Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively through others and interface persuasively with other individuals throughout the organization: a team player.
