Job Description - The Financial Accounting team is responsible for the regulatory reporting of all legal entities of the group. Reporting into a Senior Director; this role will require you to manage:

- Group Legal / Head Office reporting as per USGAAP / IFRS for all legal entities Control and accounting of various APAC entities

- Lead a very strong and analytical team of 20+ financial accountants

- Keep a close eye on complex bonds being issued and the different trades being booked around the world.

- Preparation of annual statutory accounts

- Reporting to large investors / customers of the bank

- Maintenance of service quality levels and conduct of Governance meetings

- Building strong relationships with various departments

- Recruitment and retention of appropriately qualified accountants

- Ongoing improvement initiatives

The Successful Candidate - You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 14+ years post qualification experience in a Financial Accounting or reporting role, with a large-sized Banking set-up (Investment Banking preferred). You will have extensive working knowledge of preparation of financial statements (as per US GAAP & IFRS). Good understanding of BASEL II, Other GAAPs and PeopleSoft Financials is a plus. Experience of leading a large sized team and senior stakeholders (internal and external) is a must. You will display the ability to manage team members' career development, work under time pressure and manage end-to-end financial accounting processes. Experience of operating in a KPO environment is a plus
