Director - Finance Systems and Data (FP&A AND Hyperion)

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

- Solid understanding of Hyperion Planning & Essbase or equivalent tools such as Cognos & TM1

- Solid accounting knowledge is desirable in particular management accounting & reporting

- Strong systems skills especially in implementation, maintenance, enhancement and documentation.

Qualification Required:

- Accounting or IT degree qualified with 12 to 14 years solid accounting and systems experience

- CPA/CA or equivalent qualification recommended

Summary of Responsibilities:

- Reporting to the Head of FP&A, Asia, this position will play a critical role in developing and implementing the Strategic Plan for the system roadmap and achieve high quality daily operation of regional and global processes.

- The role is a permanent position and is primarily focused on the day to day administration of regional finance information reporting system and its data such as Financial Statements, Expenses & Metrics. The administration includes managing the data capture, aggregation and reporting via system for Asia across ten countries.

- The role ensures the alignment of systems and data with agreed processes, procedures and outcomes. Identifies the interrelationship of systems, data and processes and assesses the impact of changes on the ability to effectively and efficiently deliver business outcomes.

- The role also incorporates assisting with future development work and continuous improvements to capturing and reporting on finance data.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Oversees the administration of the existing reporting through Hyperion Planning tool which capture and consolidate financial data from across the region for Asia for monthly actual feeds and projection process. This includes oversight on managing a monthly timetable of tasks, uploading and reconciling data, generating scripts, currency translations, security management, support and testing for new enhancements and/or development work

- Liaise with different groups in the organization affiliated to Hyperion across Oragnisation including US teams, Support teams and other Oragnisation regions. This includes weekly and fortnightly calls.

- Work closely with GFS team to ensure each country within the Asia region is provided with the necessary support required to produce timely and accurate financial data/reporting.

- Provide day-to-day support to the team; plays a lead role in system development, upgrade projects, divisional implementations and integration of new acquisitions.
