Director - Finance - IT/Consulting - CPA

We are searching for a highly-analytical Director of Finance to oversee accounting operations for all customers. We are looking for people that take quality as a point of pride. You will be a key member of the finance team and work very closely with cutting edge startup founders. You love to go an extra mile to make sure your work and other's work are done with the highest excellence for every our customer.

Responsibilities :

- Embrace and enjoy working with new technology powered by AI, machine learning and cutting edge automation

- Train and mentor staff and senior level accountants

- Work closely with startup founders to ensure impact of business transactions are properly stated

- Work with FP&A team integrating budgets, forecasts and KPI reporting

- Ensure investor reporting requirements and debt covenants are reporting accurately and timely

- Review partner/affiliate, sales and vendor contracts for proper application of accounting pronouncements

- Manage multiple clients at varying stages (pre-revenue, post-revenue)

- Review and/or perform full cycle month end close and reporting

- Review and confirm transactions for accuracy and completeness

- Be proactive when approaching, anticipating and resolving client requests

- Team player that collaborates with and helps others whenever or wherever needed

Requirements :

- 5-10 years of applicable experience required

- 4+ years of direct experience working with startups preferred

- US shfit

- Big 4 or national and regional accounting experience preferred

- Strong knowledge and experience of GAAP required in the areas of SAAS Accounting, Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Revenues, Revenue Recognition, Stock-Based Compensation, Fixed Assets, Inventory Management and Manufacturing

- Experience managing full month end close cycle preferred

- Strong communication skills (oral and written) are a must

- Strong time and priority management skill

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets) required

Mandatory :

- Experience using modern finance softwares like Quickbooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com, Gusto, Trinet, Carta preferred

Qualifications :

- CPA or Qualified CPA track candidate

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
