Roles and Responsibilities:
Overall Finance in charge of India office
Manage a team of local finance staff and reporting to Corporate Finance Overseas and President of India office
Take charge of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing and head office reporting as well as budgets and forecasts
Handle daily operational issues such as cash flow management as well as internal audit, external financial audits (IFRS and Statutory Audit) and tax matters, and producing statutory accounts/reports
Provide operational support to business operations
Ensure compliance with group financial and treasury policies
Upkeep of good internal control system and corporate governance
Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards as well as other applicable laws and regulations
Other assignments and projects assigned such as ERP & GST implementation.
Measurement Criteria :
To build and maintain a cohesive local finance team that can work independently & efficiently
Timely submission of financial reports according to group reporting timeline
No major financial, tax, cash flow or corporate governance issues
No non-compliance of group financial policies
Meet filing timeline for statutory reports
Unqualified audited report
Internal audit report with satisfactory rating
No non-compliance of accounting standards & guidelines and other applicable local laws & regulations
Requirements:
Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications in Finance-related field
CPA/Chartered Accountant qualification
Willing to work overseas
At least 8 years' experience out of which 3-5 years must be in a managerial position
Knowledge in ERP system and experience in ERP implementation is advantageous
Must come from manufacturing background
Good technical skills and practical knowledge in accounting, costing, taxation and corporate governance
Possess business acumen and ability to provide financial support to business operations
Possess management skill and ability to manage a department
Independent and works well under pressure
Must be a hands-on manager who leads by example
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people of all levels and different cultures
Effective communication and negotiation skills
