Location: Bangalore

Reports to: CTO

Responsibilities

- Help build and lead great development teams to deliver world-class products.

- Should be able to develop and envision scalable technical solutions for growth

- Should be able to drive and develop next generation of products and solutions

- Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement

- Experience in developing and managing high traffic web & mobile applications with scalability and high reliability

- Design the technical architecture, create and deliver specifications for product development

- Able to engage with the Product Manager and other key stakeholders in analyzing and evaluating the product functionalities, and provide technical direction to the product

- Lead the product development from a technical standpoint, and take end-to-end responsibility for all things technical for the product - from technology selection to architecture and design to working with, and guiding the engineering team in delivering the product per agreed timelines.

- Establish a solid product framework and excellent development processes.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers.

- Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.

- Communicate across functions and drive engineering initiatives.

- Be an evangelist for technology & represent the company in external forums.

Candidate Profile :

- Hands-on engineering manager with strong experience in developing internet based solutions on scale

- 10+ years of professional experience architecting, developing, and launching software products on web or mobile.

- 4+ years of experience managing successful engineering teams

- Ability to establish credibility with smart engineers quickly, and provide long term vision and motivation.

- Strong technical background with track record of individual technical accomplishments

- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Deep understanding of how culture and team dynamics create exceptional teams.

- Agile management experience, primarily Scrum.
