Director - Engineering - Software Application

Take on technical leadership for the entire engineering team.

- Owning the technology stack / architecture for multiple projects

- Hiring, developing, and mentoring engineers

- Collaborating closely with PM and Design to architect new products and features

- Partner with leadership team to create processes and project plans that enable the team to

- Efficiently produce a high-quality product on time and on budget

- Manage all development processes including scheduling, scrums, quality assurance, release and product reviews

- Interface with other technical departments to collectively strategize, as well as route and schedule required work to appropriate parties

- Perform long-term technical guidance and planning

Skills and Requirements:

- 8+ years of relevant industry experience, 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role

- Degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.

- Exceptional coding abilities and experience with architectural patterns of large-scale and high-availability applications

- Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, C/C++, Ruby, Java, C#).

- Experience working with Agile development & Scrum environment

- Highly proficient with common project management tools and bug databases

- Provide roadmap guidance for individual services and the overall division
