Job Location : Mumbai
Role : Director of Engineering (DoE) is going to be the sole person who will be responsible for running the engineer show. Director of Engineering (DoE) will manage the engineering initiatives which will primarily include bring fresh perspective to engineering processes, build robust systems, ensuring delivery of product roadmaps, engineering culture, nurturing and helping engineers with these tough problems.
Director of Engineering (DoE) will be responsible for defining product goals for multidisciplinary teams. Director of Engineering (DoE) will not only evolve the technology within the organization, but also motivate the team to challenge limits at every stage.
Few of key responsibilities :
- Focus on details of software development, design, implementation and debugging.
- Manage multiple projects across a wide breadth of technologies, coordinate dependencies and interactions with other teams and external partners
- Develop roadmaps for system and product growth, and then ensure timely execution and quality delivery
- Developer & deliver complex systems. You will be handling innovation and responsible to identify areas of continues improvement/betterment of product development lifecycle.
- Maintenance and constant improvement in software quality, along with the ability to motivate and mentor the development team to push the envelope consistently
- Responsibility and ownership of key deliverables for performance and quality
- Responsible for training and grooming technical and management leaders within your group, you will define a vision of excellence and implement it
- Closely monitor and guide product releases and updates
- Represent your team to the senior leadership
- Attract and hire top engineering talent
Require Key Skills :
- Strong grasp of scalable web back-end, video processing and streaming, full stack networking, and all genres of platforms technologies (mobile and desktop)
- Experience hiring and growing a top notch engineering team, and scaling the organization
- Solid understanding of business processes and the application of technology to implement and thereafter streamline them
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Hands on experience in Developing, designing & scaling complex systems both horizontally & vertically.
- Experience Range : 8-15 years of experience in good product based companies.
- A strong vision and excitement for contributing in growth of an amazing product start-up.
