Director of Engineering


We are looking for a Director, Engineering to head Revenue Integrity product line.

- As a Director, Engineering you will be the R&D leader for Revenue Integrity product line responsible for all aspects of product development, maintenance, operations, new technology adoption, defining and improving processes, productivity and building a motivated and engaged team of engineers.


- You will be working with senior engineering directors/VPs & product management and contribute to product strategy and product roadmap, work with architects to conceptualize the design/architecture and deliver product enhancements timely to production for 100+ airlines which are live with the solution.

- The senior leader is expected to be technically hands on and drive all aspects of product development - lead and validate architecture design/decisions, guide engineering managers and tech leads and take bottom line responsibility for engineering delivery.


- A key part of responsibility would also be to ensure near zero downtime time and peak performance for the product in production and ensure customer satisfaction and enhance product adoption.

- You will drive budgeting, planning, project execution (as part of an Agile Release Train) and development of technical talent.

Key responsibilities :

- Be part of a global team with complete responsibility for Revenue Integrity (ARI)Product Line

- Team Size ranges from 30 - 35 engineers working on several products enhancements, maintenance, Customer CoEs and programs/projects

- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the main commercial, operational and financial drivers and leverage it to drive organizational results

- Communicate organizational strategy consistently to team members

- Successful implementation of R&D Transformation aspects driving product evolution, sponsor continuous improvement initiatives

- Innovation - Drive the strategy and Innovation activities for the department. Work to establish the Product competitively and Sustainability, with a long-term view in mind (2-4 years). Constantly challenge status quo to drive innovation in the organization

- Change Management - Promote new ways of looking at products, problems and processes

- Foster a sense of ownership, empowerment and personal commitment to work. Create a work environment that inspires and encourages people to excel

- Talent Development - Identifies required capabilities and skill gaps within organization and invests time in developing the capability

- Build team cohesiveness, set a high bar by being a role model of Amadeus values thus inspiring the team

- Conflict Management - Addresses conflict openly and constructively, focusing on issues rather than people

- Cultivate networks throughout the organization to garner support and create a foundation for future influence

- Responsible for building a strong knowledge base in product, domain and functional areas

- Responsible for building strong, highly motivated, vibrant, innovative and highly professional teams

- Active participation and contributions in organization building activities across department/divisions

- Work in fast paced development environment, interacting with product owners, business analysts, testers, developers and stakeholders across geographical locations

- Budgeting - Provide inputs related to budgeting activities based on historical and forecast analysis.

- Recruit the people with right skill, attitude, customer management skills and potential for efficient delivery activities

- Organize the team to enable successful delivery, create a org structure that facilitates smooth and high-quality delivery

- Reduce attrition by adapting innovative means to increase engagement level of the team.

- Evaluate and execute the induction and training needs for the team

- Succession planning: Evaluate the career development plan for next line of leadership and provide mentorship
