Position: Director - Engineering Experience: 10+ yrs Job Location: Mumbai / Gurugram Job Type: Permanent Industry: IT Product Responsibilities: - Ownership of product delivery, devops, cybersecurity, performance, impeccable software quality, and configuration. - Hands-on management with deep-dive into the details of software design, implementation and debugging. - Attract, hire, retain, motivate and mentor the team.. - Guide your teams in developing roadmaps and systems to drive product growth, then identify, plan, and execute projects to support that growth. - Leadership role in the driving technical architecture, specifically leveraging micro-services. - Manage multiple projects across a wide breadth of technologies, coordinate dependencies, and interactions with the internal teams and external partners. - Collaborate with stakeholders from across functions to keep the development team in sync with all functions and overall business objectives. - Set up, create and manage strong best practices/architecture to ensure reliable, secure, bug-free, and performant software is released on-time. Desirable Skills and Experience - Loves coding. - 8+ years of experience managing technology teams. - Demonstrated ability to build complex scalable technology products. - Must have scaled a product from early ideation to maturity. - Should have prior experience of working with ROR, React, PostgreSQL and cloud infra. - Experience with architectural patterns for high availability, performance, and scale out architecture, disaster recovery, security architecture knowledge of cloud-based architectures, devops, and server management. - Be driven by the mission of building the best technology and product experience. - Scaling the organization with strong leadership skills & outside-in approach. - Be an inspirational leader with a passion to solve real problems. - Expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning is a plus. Mandatory: Preferred candidates from B2B/B2C product companies or SaaS companies B Tech (Tier 1/ Tier 2 Pedigree highly preferred) with Product development experience with Tech companies. Tech stack is on Ruby on Rails but open to look folks working on Java/Python/Node and willing to work on Ruby on Rails.
