Director (Engagement) - HRO Services

Reporting to - Global Engagement Manager

Main Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for evangelizing, establishing, growing and running a global shared services organization providing HRO services for worldwide and providing strategic and operational leadership to HROS in line with global HR priorities

Key Responsibilities:

The key aspects of the role and responsibilities are outlined as below:

Strategy

- Design growth, service, organization and capability strategy of HROS in line with Group, SBU and BU HR priorities

- Develop compelling propositions to encourage countries to use HROS services

- Expand HROS through structured assessments and pilots

- Provide insights into future needs and make proactive investments in capability development

- Leverage global platforms and channels to showcase HROS successes and capabilities

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Group, SBU and BU HR leaders, breeding trust and openness

- Bring together process and technology solutions to meet business needs

Service portfolio and quality

- Drive consolidation and expansion of HROS service portfolio, both within areas of operational support of processes as well as setting up end-to-end functions such as C&B and Recruitment

- Benchmark quality standards for existing as well as new services

- Work with leadership to draw up business case for infrastructure and automation investments

- Advise on the optimizing of HR processes by bringing in global and industry best practices, streamlining operations, setting up governance frameworks and managing transformation programs

- Work with clients to identify, propose and implement areas of integration across diverse processes for similar functions

Operations and Management

- Create a strong customer centric mindset, with strong predictability and consistency in delivery

- Reinforce a culture of efficiency, effectiveness and innovation

- Ensure continuous process improvement with an ultimate objective of adding value

- Ensure documentation, tracking, monitoring and reporting of key performance metrics

People management

- Clearly articulate the vision and engage people through a well-laid out roadmap

- Create a high performance culture

- Sensitive leadership to draw the best out of people

- Encourage openness for collaboration and cross-leverage of skills

- An eye for talent, and penchant for growing people

- Hiring, utilization, motivation, competence building, and attrition management

Person Profile:

1. Proven track-record of leading a large HRO services organization in a tier 1 company, preferably in a shared service model

2. Strong experience of managing global stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment

3. Should have taken the team to next level in terms of performance

4. Must have the credibility and maturity necessary to give high-quality inputs to senior management meetings both internally and with other stakeholders

5. Strong interpersonal skills in order to build strong relationships

6. Should have the gravitas, charisma and knowledge to be credible in all business situations

7. MBA or Master’s degree from premier institutes, preferably in HR

8. An overall work experience of 15-18 years, of which at least 5 years should be in large multinational companies in HRO related services

9. HR domain knowledge in at least 2-3 areas.

10. Experience of managing self-managed and qualified individuals, across different geographical locations

11. Highly self-motivated and objective driven

12. Good humoured and with the ability to win the trust and commitment of team members
