Director - DevOps - Product & Technology Services Firm

The Director- Devops is who plans and leads SRE/DevOps for the Cloud Infrastructure Group of a company. This is senior technical management role that requires working collaboratively with professionals in Product Engineering, Platform Solutions Group, PMO, Data Sciences Group, Service Delivery Optimization and other Cloud Infrastructure functions to positively impact platform solutions outcomes.

The Cloud Infrastructure - team designs, implements, and maintains the global infrastructure and environments used to build, test, and run company's omni-channel customer engagement and big data services. Collaborating with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering, we provide highly-available, scalable, cloud-based infrastructure supporting dozens of corporations in the telecom, financial, travel, and retail industries.

As a member of the team, you will share in the challenge and satisfaction of building and maintaining a world-class SaaS/PaaS cloud while gaining experience with a myriad of cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities:

- Actively work with the core team of professionals from Chat, Speech and Virtual Assistant Engineering, Project Management Office, Technical Support and Product Management functions

- Develop and implement process and procedure for a high-availability infrastructure.

- Provide technical thought leadership on new technologies and debugging customer-impacting issues.

- Work with architecture teams across the company to define standards and implement automation for CI/CD.

- Be data driven - Define and drive metrics implementation.

- Keep management informed of key trends and changes which may impact expected results.

Requirements:

- 10+ years - experience in Information Technology or product companies implementing large-scale projects / cross-geo programs

- Strong leader with proven track record of leading team(s) on achieving a project or solution goals.

- Possess strong knowledge of SRE (Devops) practices.

- Must have driven efficiency initiatives in the past.

- Ability to multitask and work under pressure

- Strong Verbal and written communication and presentation skills are essential.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills are required.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet ambitious goals.

- Demonstrated experience working with hardware and software development engineers.

- Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.

- Ability to work in an unstructured environment requiring creative approach towards problem solving.
