Requirements:
- 15+ years of direct experience in enterprise software development involving machine learning mathematical modeling, optimization, generative AI, computer vision, business analytics, or other AI techniques
- 10+ years of experience in retail industry in a data science/software role
- 5+ years of experience in NLP/Generative AI/ Computer vision/Forecasting/Pricing related problems
- Advanced degree (Ph.D./Masters) in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Demonstrated leadership in data science teams and projects with track record of scaling teams
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with ML toolkits like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras and more
- Experience with industry leading LLMs and open-source alternatives such as Mistral and Llama 2
- Expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in MLOps tools such as Kubeflow, MLflow, Apache Airflow, and TFX (TensorFlow Extended) for managing the ML lifecycle across multi customer, multi model environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for ML models.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools for ML models in production (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of data science and analytical modules of products for the retail and ecommerce industry, including systems for Generative AI/NLP problems, price optimization, promotion planning, inventory planning, demand forecasting etc.
- Work closely with software engineering, product management, design, and customer success teams to deliver commercial-grade software on schedule
- Lead a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in data science practices.
- Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to team members.
