About The Role

As a Director of Technology for Data Engineering you will be hands-on on technology and be responsible for designing, building and productionizing data products that will grow in capability, be scalable and highly available. You will collaborate with technology and business teams across OUR CLIENT helping them strategize their data needs and greatly enhance velocity of outcomes via reuse. You will lead engineering teams and ensure their outcomes via Engineers and Analysts. You will partner with Business Analysts to enhance the quality and outcomes of the data products under your ambit.

You will foster a culture of technology and product experimentation in service of delivered product value and growth. You will partner with the infrastructure teams to consume the required platform components and evolve enterprise technology standards and patterns of reuse. You will support your teams in making relevant technology decisions related to complex technology products and articulating the same clearly with executive management teams.

About You

- Four-year degree in computer science or equivalent from a premier institute. MBA will be a plus

- 15-18+ years of engineering experience, 3+ years of experience developing data Engineering technology is your focus area

- 5+ years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for cross-functional products

- 3+ years of Director level experience in managing engineering managers in an organization that is transforming itself

- Experience working in a dev ops & agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, etc.) including continuous integration and continuous delivery practices

- Experience operating medium to large scale systems

Other Skills :

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences

- Strong technical knowledge and background with an understanding of open source frameworks

- Strong sense of ownership and problem solving skills
