Director - Commercial Operations
- Handle the commercial operations.
- Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for:
- Sales Returns approval, Pricing Decisions (inputs for discounts), Reliability of the Sales Data (clearing-up all data discrepancies -past records), Credit policy, Channel appointments, Channel promotional schemes and Channel related aspects
- Monitoring receivables and working with the sales team to collect payments within the agreed credit cycle and limit, performing variance analysis (budget and actual analysis on all headings) & variable cost analysis (eg. freight cost)
- Monitoring receivables from dealers with marketing to minimize the outstanding to improve the liquidity. ensure & monitor the in dealer appointments, dealer credit assessment, reviewing dealer-wise outstanding payments and take appropriate actions, resolving dealer grievances like credit note and debit note, institutional sales (preparing letter of credit)
- Supporting in H&T appointments, renewing agreements with C&F, H&T - fertilizer (annual or half-yearly)
- Preparing of annual budget preparation and roll out, ensuring total and timely statutory compliance (for local compliances)
- Invoicing & Accounts Receivables
- Resolution of payment issues with client, contract administration & claims management
- Billing Schedule and Cash Flows management and monitoring
- Filing of PEM with banks as per the guidelines, managing the issuance and maintenance of bank guarantees and overseeing LC operations in close coordination with Finance
- Assistance for all commercial matters to Procurement & Logistics
- Manage and control all accounts payable (especially onshore scope) and ensure timely payments as per vendor PO terms and schedule and scope.
- Manage and closely monitor the banking & treasury operations of on-site bank accounts in Project Country in close coordination with local commercial / finance person.
- Preparation of regular Project Cash Flow, Project Profit Statements, Cost Control statements, identify budget overruns and other MIS requirements related to the Project etc..
- Monitoring progress of Project & Site activities and reconciliation for Project closures with respect to schedule, scope, cost control, receivables, cash flow management, shipping & logistics, imports and exports, Remittances & banking transactions etc., related to Site.
- Interaction with Clients, Suppliers, Service contractors, Banks and other statutory / Governmental agencies.
- Attend to audit queries on Project related commercial matters
- Provide assistance in establishment of branch or subsidiary or any form of entity in foreign countries, as per business requirements in a most efficient manner from contract structure and tax efficiency perspective.
- Review of Sales Proposals & Contracts in co-ordination with foreign offices and Business Units (BU) as and when required.
- Assessment of Commercial Tenders and identifying the liabilities and risks associated with the Tender / Project vis--vis companys Risk Profile
- Assist the BU teams in business development activities and client engagement
- Managing, guiding and mentoring a team
Qualification And Experience :
- CA with 20+ years of experience in financial and commercial function in Sales Accounting Division from Fertilisers industry
