Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement Business Strategies to drive performance and deliver results

- Develop long- and short-term goals and objectives for India to build a sustainable profitable business in a compliant way, based on Global Distributor Markets and Corporate objectives

- Develop and manage a local (sub) distributor network, covering all of India.

- Implement and manage processes necessary to import, register, and sell our products using a distributor network, in India

- Develop and implement localized strategies and tactics consistent with global strategies applicable for India.

- Implement the strategies outlined to develop (distributor) sales, market shares, margin and contributions for the business unit

- Secure and organize the resources (human and financial) and develop structures necessary to achieve the business objectives

- Deliver the P&L performance for the business unit on a consistent and reliable basis

- Guarantee discipline in execution driving commercial excellence and paying attention to the KPIs required for the BU.

- Deep and wide understanding of how the business operates end to end (commercial, operations, corporate and support functions Finance and HR) and successfully partners with them at local and regional level.

- Manage risk, legal and compliance.


Market understanding and Leading:


- Understanding of the country market (customers, channel), as well as the political, social and healthcare environment.

- Knowledge of and key relationships formed with external stakeholders (Payers, Government Bodies etc.)

- Strategical understanding and defining of long-term market strategies short term gains and margins, versus long winning in the market, detailed knowledge of products.


Organizational and People Development:

- Select, develop, reward and appraise direct reports to address the current and future needs of the business through the Talent Management Strategy, with particular focus on Performance Management (HPM), Development & Succession Planning (DSP), capability-building and Leadership Development

- Build the capabilities of all team members in order to build a strong bench of talent for the business unit

- Create a high performing and inclusive environment driving the People Strategy in Spain.


Input into corporate decisions:


- Provide ongoing input and feedback to the corporate on customer needs, market environment and relevant trends

- Be the Voice of the Customer in India for the senior management team and within the Corporate office

- Partnering with global functions & stakeholders (i.e. Global Marketing Organization or Global Market Access).
