Director - Cloud & DevOps - Azure/GCP

Hiring for one of the leading global Technology based Business Consulting & Services Company.

Cloud & DevOps (Either Azure OR GCP NOT AWS)

Job Summary:

The Director - Cloud & DevOps must be a deep and hands-on engineer with 17-22 years of industry experience.

- Must be able to strategise, design implement, migrate large, and complex solutions in the domain of the cloud technologies (IAAS, PAAS, IAC, automation, security, network, CI/CD) on either of the two cloud platforms - Azure or GCP.

- Must possess the hands-on capability to resolves issues, challenges of all complexity.

- Must be looked up by different stakeholders as a thought leader in the domain.

The Director should be flexible to work across industry verticals, across multiple projects, and across geography.

Industry-recognised certification preferred. (Solution arch +).

Primary Experience & Responsibilities:

- Overall experience of 17+ years in Infrastructure, Middleware Administration, and Cloud with 5+ years in the cloud domain.

- Have worked in a client-facing role or at a client location and must be comfortable with client management.

- Proven ability to plan and execute change on an enterprise scale, with outcomes that fulfil the original business case.

- Able to advice & consult clients for large complex projects or issues cloud.

- Able to write assess, write cloud roadmap & adoption strategy.

- Designing and implementing highly efficient end to end solution on Pubic Clouds (Amazon Web Services, Azure or GCP) for security, resilience, performant, networking, availability, keeping in mind the business context.

- Cloud Capacity Planning Design, cost estimations and spend optimisation.

- Data lifecycle and storage management.

- Hand on to write code for IAC, automation and CI/CD for public or private clouds.

- Strong deep capabilities on tool like, not limiting to : -

Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet or Ansible).

SCM (TFS or GIT).

CI tools (Jenkins or Bamboo).

Azure Resource Manager, Cloud formation or Google Cloud Deployment Manager, Terraform.

Scripting language: Python, Bash and Shell.

Container services like ECS, GKE, EKS, or Kubernetes.

- Understands compliance security and risk (safe harbor and law of land).

- Design for failover, high availability, MTTR , MTTF and MTBF.

- Must have understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery model.

- Report on business and processes metrics.

- Awareness of industry trends and directions and its impact on IT services.

- Good understanding of emerging technologies, various platforms, tools and products and their respective applications.

- Experience of working in/with multi-vendor, 3rd parties, and client teams.

- Develop, motivate, empower, and evaluate individual contributors and grow their professional, leadership, and technical skills.

Good to have:

- Provide thought leadership for the development of Cloud COE agenda and COE management.

- Grow the COE team in India, through internal and external hiring.

- Establish relationships with key stakeholders across Global delivery organisation to make Cloud COE a go to function.

- Experience in building/supporting/testing/operating IaaS platforms.

- People management.

- Cost/budget management.

Education:

- Graduate or Post Graduate.
