Key Accountabilities :

- Managing the overall book of work for the teams in India - including delivery against SLAs, issue resolution and change management as well as project delivery

- Leadership of the local India based team that will be a mix of permanent and vendor staff

- Managing vendors to deliver the service levels required

- Escalation point for major Incident handling and problem management

- Managing and reporting on deliveries against agreed SLAs and standards

- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, organisational Operational Risk Framework and internal Policies and Standards.

- Responsible for delivering CFT Technology projects which includes various large and extremely complex components such as Sales IT, IBD, RSG, Research and Intranet Development etc.

- Manage various senior management stakeholders such as India leadership, India Operations, APAC business users, Global business users, Global Head of CFT etc.

- Oversee the decommissioning of various systems by migrating the asset class specific functionality to strategic IBD and Optimize the applications footprint and then drive workforce strategy based on that. Achieve the CFT cost targets by 2016.

- Migrate/Move majority of out-of-India workforce to India and build capabilities to take on the work without any SLA breaches

- Accountable for design and architecture designs for India teams and making sure those are inline with global standards and principals.

- Provide thought leadership to India management to improve the efficiency of the team and help achieve cost targets and take on the cost challenges proactively

- Provide vendor governance to MSP staff to optimize their presence and achieve the cost save targets by reducing their footprint and bringing in the IP based work to perm employees versus vendors.

- This role will oversee close ~10 VPS and overall staff of 100/150 people

- Manage talent and help grow leadership

Person Specification :

- Technology and financial qualifications as undergraduate or postgraduate

- Overall IT experience

- Experience of leading, managing and coaching a high performing application/software development team. Should have strong technical background and should have delivered large scalable projects. Should have Architecture/Design acumen

- Strong people management skills.

- Proven track record in vendor management

- Ability to operate within a complex systems environment with a layered software stack and highly interdependent systems.

- Good working knowledge of Prime Services which is must to have, Cash Equities and Equity Derivatives Systems would be highly valued.

- Person having specific knowhow of Capital Market, middle office, trade life cycling, regulatory reporting, operations reporting etc would be added plus

- Proactive approach, committed, team-focused work ethic

- Excellent communication skills that can transcend both junior and senior audiences

- Should have gone through the Captive lifecycle which requires influencing skills, experience in matrix management teams and can bring in fresh perspective to the organization from offhsoring point of view and help shape the India organization.

- Ability to provide architectural and design guidance to teams.

- Ability scale up and should be able to manage various levels of stakeholders
