Director - Center For Entrepreneurship

Role : Director-Center for Entrepreneurship

Location : Gurgaon / Chandigarh

Looking for an inspiring and dynamic leader to envision and seed a distinctive entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem from scratch, that will nurture breakthrough companies with global impact and help solve Grand Challenges of India and the world.

Purpose :

- Inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset and culture in the student community. May include curricular interventions, immersive experiences, events etc in close coordination with prospective faculty in entrepreneurship.

- Enable early-stage support to start-up teams. Manage the Entrepreneurship Support Program, build a strong mentorship/ incubation program, facilitate various entrepreneurs support services.

- Enable seed funding to ventures by launching and managing a Seed Fund and raise funding from government and private sources. Over time, attract top start-ups across India .

- Translate research from lab to market. Engage closely with faculty on research; develop appropriate incentives, policy and support frameworks for tech transfer, IP etc.

- Build deep linkages with global academic, corporate and government institutions.

Preferred Profile:

- 10-15 years of work experience, preferably with experience working with or being involved with start-ups or high growth tech companies. A background in teaching/ research will be beneficial but not necessary.

- Ability to inspire and mentor students in their entrepreneurial journey

- A collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills to engage a diverse stakeholder ecosystem across students, faculty, industry, global partners etc.
