Job Description: Director of Business Valuation
Location: Gurgaon
Experience Required: 10+ years
Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Business Valuation to lead our valuation practice in North India, based out of Gurgaon.
- The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience, strong client management skills, and a proven track record in business valuation.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management and Interaction:
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service and a deep understanding of client needs.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and ensure the highest quality of service and work products.
- Manage and drive valuation engagements, identifying opportunities and assisting in generating new business.
- Translate technical expertise into industry-wide resources, contribute to thought leadership, and ensure quality review of engagement deliverables.
Engagement Delivery and Technical Expertise:
- Develop and review valuation models, including DCF models, comparable company models, stock option models, financial instrument models, complex option models, and intangible asset valuation models.
- Implement rigorous procedures and processes for executing unique engagements and developing new products/services.
- Develop deep sectoral expertise in chosen sectors.
- Work extensively on business valuations and financial reporting valuations such as PPAs and Goodwill Impairment tests.
- Handle portfolio valuations for PE and VC firms for investor reporting and financial reporting.
- Conduct regulatory valuations for RBI and Income Tax purposes.
- Experience in dispute or litigation valuations is a plus.
Resource Management and Team Development:
- Manage resources and work plans for timely completion of engagements, including project management and engagement economics.
- Lead and manage a team, coaching and developing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop deep technical strength in business valuation, serving as a firm resource and sharing knowledge through training and mentoring.
- Responsible for goal setting, performance appraisal, and professional development of team members.
Desired Skills:
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- High level of competence in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to present to Boards of Directors and senior management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
