Director - Business Transformation ( GICs)
- As a Director, you employ a "business first" lens and help clients address the evolving needs of their businesses. The Director is responsible for owning projects end-to-end and takes responsibility for their successful delivery. The director is also responsible for overseeing project teams.
- A project may have several modules and varying team sizes, depending on the scope of the project. Their role is to make direct contributions to the client's team by assisting them in setting up or expanding shared services across various competencies. The role will entail advising clients on operating models, driving technology-led transformation programs, sourcing strategy, and vendor portfolio optimization.
- Apart from this, Directors play a leading role in helping create and build client relationships. They help find new clients, envision novel sources of business, and continue to nurture relationships.
Responsibilities :
- Create and maintain client and industry relationships
- Work independently to obtain business opportunities from new or existing clients
- Working with Partners and Clients to develop hypotheses and work plans that address project objectives
- Lead engagements in areas such as GIC setup by strategizing across design, build, run, transform, and innovate spectrum for Technology or BPM (Finance, Procurement) functions
- Leverage working and market knowledge of IT outsourcing, BPO/BPM, GIC, and shared services operating models
- Work closely and collaboratively with teams to analyze client operations, brainstorm potential options, and make recommendations
- Communicate analysis, recommendations, and status updates in both written and oral formats with internal and client leadership
- Carry revenue management along with tracking, managing sales pipeline, and financial management (invoicing, plan vs actuals tracking, etc.) of ongoing engagements
- Develop portfolio of offerings to clients and identify opportunities to sell/ cross-sell services, tailoring to specific client needs
- Actively engage in sales presentations, leading pitches and proposals to secure new clients and projects
- Provide professional development opportunities and feedback for team members
- Create a strong team of professionals by attracting external talent and strengthening the in-house team
Qualifications:
Candidate should have 15+ years of experience in GIC/Captive advisory for Technology and/or BPM (F&A, Procurement) functions, Outsourcing advisory, and PMO engagements, and meet the following criteria:
- A strong and proven interest in consulting especially in thinking through large and complex transformation programs
- A base level of knowledge in business strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and data analysis techniques
- Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong project management skills and experience in managing global clients including dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis and independently managing client interactions
- Exceptional leadership and team management qualities
- Willingness to mentor junior team members and invested in building next generation of leaders
- A strong determination to drive initiatives independently with a positive attitude and a profound commitment
- Knowledge of the current GIC/Captive advisory landscape, trends, challenges, and solutions
- Understanding of prevalent trends in technology (DevOps, Agile, Cloud sourcing) and digital trends in BPM (Automation, AI, Gen AI)
