Deliver our commercial goals of doubling the business, executing growth projects in high-exposure role working with the founders and the investors

The Operations Manager will be able to bring in a - strategic thinking, consulting and execution- attitude and help build the business. You will keep up the momentum to ensure growth - rapidly, profitably, and at scale. You will work on team performance optimization, putting processes together, bringing in a strong sense of analytics, managing within budgets/ resources and thinking of new and faster ways to innovate.

It implies turning our startup into a professionally managed company (includes legal, accounting, HR, admin, and all the fun but clumsy stuff). You will be constantly fixing things. You are also constantly solving problems you haven- t solved before. Problem solving in an ambiguous environment should be core skill for Operation manager. Hence, we are seeking a self - starter who has a creative, innovative and proactive approach and is keen to make an impact and take a leading role in shaping and developing a rapidly growing business.

You will report directly to the Promoters/Board of Directors and will work to co-ordinate the business and deliver growth against ambitious targets. You will look across every angle of the business from customer proposition, to technology, to marketing & sales, to finance - and make sure we are focused on delivering our ambitious commercial strategy.

You will be responsible for driving the tempo of the business through leading weekly, monthly and quarterly management of activity and performance, as well as executing growth projects by leading cross-functional teams across the business.

All these essentially means that you will have to pinch hit and do things you don- t like.

Education & Experience

- B-Tech or M-Tech or an MBA or any post graduate (CA degree is an added advantage)

- 5-10 years of experience in handling operations; of which at least 3 years should be in a travel/hospitality/ technology/ Internet/ online travel/ travel search/ OTAs start-up/MSME or SME.

- Past experience in scaling a company or organization.

- Knowledge and proficiency with lean start-up methods.

- Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics

- Added advantage if you have

Performed various functional roles (sales, marketing, engineering, finance, customer support) at different sized internet companies.

Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices

- Expert problem solving skills and ability to concisely communicate across the business

- Top rated people skills to lead teams without relying on direct reporting lines

- Adaptability and willingness to roll sleeves up and get involved with all parts of the business

Skills & Abilities

- You must be able to see the big picture as well as the finer details, as your work is across the spectrum. You will deal in small daily matters, as well as larger aims and setting goals. A systematic organized approach to work is vital.

- Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills, for dealing with many types of people at all levels in a direct diplomatic way, are essential. An understanding of customer/client requirements is must.

- You should be proficient in business planning software, in order to allow you to build financial projections, charts and reports in a short period of time.

- Soft skills, including effective time management, prioritizing and delegation, are must. You must be able to lead, coach, inspire, support and motivate your team, and always seeking to improve best practice.

- Having natural creative flair and being full of ideas and energy to introduce new concepts and innovations would also be advantageous.

Key Responsibility

- Scaling the company: High growth companies have special needs around scaling and implementing simple processes (e.g. corporate governance, M&A, business development, sales, HR, recruiting, recruiting infrastructure to name a few).

Build out executive team and organizational framework. Hire executives or teams for areas founders don't understand well e.g. finance, accounting, and sales. Help in screening and hiring executives for product, engineering, marketing as well.

Manage and develop multiple operational teams to achieve individual operational improvements and enhance team goals of operations.

Review on an on-going basis performance, practices, communication in an effort to determine best practices and make adjustments in areas that are not performing to the highest level.

Shape the culture for the next phase of the company's life.

- Organize and develop plan of execution to meet and exceed all company goals, including: operational goals, department goals, delivery goals, profitability goals, revenue goals.
