Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic business development efforts, identifying market gaps and opportunities to position Company's services effectively.
- Formulate and implement strategy for enhancing market penetration to increase the business volume from Defence and Aerospace segment.
- Prospect and acquire new clients within the strategic electronics industry, leveraging existing networks and relationships.
- Interact with Defence and Aerospace customers on a regular basis for developmental projects and address the customer's needs and desires for solutions during design and engineering stages.
- Act as a strategic partner for customers to understand customer needs and deliver through Cross functional teams. Ensuring healthy relationship with Services, Research labs, Test labs, Space organization, PSU's and other Government bodies
- Develop and execute sales strategies focusing on LRUs, Radar systems, Avionics, Embedded systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with product development and marketing initiatives.
- Build company profile and brand image in the market through customer visits, presentations, exhibitions, trade shows, business meets.
- Participate in defence & aerospace seminars and exhibitions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry influencers.
- Interact with design/technical team on the new technologies/requirement of the customer for technology/process up gradation
- Gather intelligence on competitor activities
- Recommend policy initiatives, new product/partnership arrangements & innovative approaches keeping in mind the market opportunities, practices & competition to strengthen company leadership position
- Drive the entire sales organization, including prospecting, closing deals and collections to achieve revenue targets.
- End to end ownership of profit and loss (P/L) responsibilities, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communication or Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 12+ years experience in Defence & Aerospace industry in areas of Sales & Business Development
- Worked on medium to large size opportunities/tenders in Defence Electronics domain or System Integration projects in Aerospace & Defence
- Experience in handling profit and loss (P/L) responsibilities and driving organizational success.
- Extensive knowledge about key decision makers within the industry, with a strong focus on relationship-building.
- Well versed with DAP 2020, Defence Procurement Policies
- Proven track record of bringing in new customers from the Indian market and driving revenue growth.
- Extensive experience of working with MoD, DRDO labs, DPSUs, Armed Forces & International OEMs
- Demonstrated ability to identify market gaps and develop strategic initiatives to address them.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
