This is a newly created position. The Director, Business Development will be responsible for hunting contracts for the products and solutions amongst mid-sized issuers and supporting the large sized issuer contracts.

The functional responsibilities will therefore encompass the following, but not be limited to :

- End to end sales closure - From hunting and pitching to mid-size and large banks in the country to calling/meeting the clients to closing the deals with proper documentation and commercials.

- Ensuring the execution is properly done in terms of visibility & making the brand live with the company once the agreement is signed.

- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines

- Strong relationship building and a door opener for new sales in BFSI.

- Responsible for the entire product cycle i.e. product presentation, closing rate negotiations, go live strategy etc.

- Devise growth strategies for revenue generation.

- Devise marketing strategies with partners and rolling out GTM (go to market) plan.

- Developing strong relationships with the customer leading to deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies

- Managing Key Relationships with partners & stakeholders. Ensuring the visibility across portfolio partners.

- Participating in banking and fintech events in the country

The ideal candidate will also be characterized by the following attributes:

Experience :

- Young and dynamic leader with proven business development expertise with 6+ years of hunting experience typically gained within the financial services industry working with solution providers catering to the needs of banks/financial institutions

- Extensive exposure to enterprise sales - hunting and farming, marketing (offline and digital), product support and operations

- Strong rolodex with the top officials and the decision makers in the Indian Banking industry

- Demonstrated experience of the overall FinTech solutions

- Strong network and contact within the Fintech ecosystem and working with leading firms in areas of Lending, Payments, Wealth Management, Insurance and Regulations.

- Strong Business knowledge of Financial Services and Technology to have conversations across C-level with client organizations.

- Focused and possess sales mindset

- Ability to manage situations on the ground and partner relationships

- Strong prospecting, Presentation skills with proven track record of closing deals

- Adapt to a fast-paced environment

Specific knowledge :

- Knowledge of the Indian Banking and Financial Services industry.

- Proven sales experience in a business-to-business, large / strategic customer segment.

Key Note : 

The candidates having prior experience in payments and cards will be preferred. The candidates should be well versed with BFSI industry and has the connects in the banking industry.
