Director/AVP - Product Marketing (IT/Software)

Position: AVP / Director Product Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define new market opportunities and product offerings; manage existing portfolio; establish product definition including value proposition, pricing, features, services, and roadmap; maintain market knowledge of competition, industry, vendor strategies, and buying behaviors.

- Conduct customer research to uncover needs, pricing, positioning and establish product demand.

- Conduct product specific research to understand the competitive landscape and customer satisfaction drivers.

- Track customer feedback and metrics to measure success of marketing efforts.

- Develop strong brand awareness and reputation and ensure the company brand is consistently applied in every marketing tactic

- Brand Development inputs: campaign ideas, communication strategy (lead insight development for long term communication strategy), draft executions, etc.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree education from premier B-schools, IIMs, XLRI, ISBs only.

- 7+ years in Product marketing in an IT environment.

- Expert knowledge of multiple marketing channels

- Strong understanding of branding & promotional activities;

- Demonstrated success with identifying growth opportunities for a given product and driving an organization to capture value

- Proficient with defining methodologies, implementing best practices in all elements of Product & Solutions Marketing.

- Demonstrated success in strategy formulation, complex organizational-wide problem solving, commercial analytic and financial/forecast modeling

- Experience with developing business cases to recommend and rationalize investments and other strategic actions

- Demonstrated success with identifying growth opportunities for a given product

- Demonstrated experience in strategic and creative campaign development.

- Excellent organizational skills with proven problem solving and decision making skills.
