Role : Director / Associate Director-Procurement ( IT & Non IT) ( for ITeS / BPO / KPO Setup)

Location : Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

- Ongoing management of purchasing strategy & activity and for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price;

- Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings;

- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of vendor contracts, contractual relationships and contract management.

- Deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base.

- Maintain knowledge of the market, identify, and evaluate multiple sourcing approaches and define the strategy in partnership with the senior leadership team.

Strategy and Development:

- Create and implement best practice purchasing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance

- Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market - including: Terms and conditions, supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and rationalization of supply chain solutions

- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities

- Take ownership of the purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents

- Initiate and develop creative and innovative procurement processes (including eProcurement)

General and Task Management:

- Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level

- Create and execute sourcing plans for various in conjunction with various HODs, providing expertise in structuring contracts/ services agreements with vendors and partners.

- Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders, as appropriate

- Monitor, review and analyse bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service
agreements and contracts

- Develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage utilizing global market exploitation, leveraging spends and leveraging technologies

- Develop, implement and maintain a consistent supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance

Financial Budget and Control

- Input and hold responsibility for Purchasing budgets

- Prepare the annual Purchasing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory & legal requirements.

- Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects

- Periodic Reporting & Governance

Work Experience & Educational Qualification:

- An entrepreneurial, 'can-do' mindset combined with ~ 15 years of direct & hands-on experience with IT and related professional service categories is required.

- Experience with managing procurement for non-IT categories such as Real Estate, Administration, Learning & Development is a must.

- Procurement certification from CIPS or CPSM etc., is preferred

- Demonstrable experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership, proven contract management & supplier experience

- Experience in setting up or scaling the procurement function in a growth, tech-centric organization is ideal.

- Commercially focused and pragmatic, have the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions.

- Result oriented, client focused and obsessed with simultaneously delivering value and delight.

- Self-motivated, adept in working solo as well as in global teams

- Exceptional relationship management, negotiation skills & most importantly, ability to close deals.
