Director - Artificial Intelligence - Technology Innovation

Role Purpose: To define and deliver technology innovation initiatives based on the Technology priority areas and Group CTO's priorities. Leverage best practices and cutting-edge technologies available in the wider market for benefit for Technology and Business. Provide clarity and guidance to leverage emerging technologies and specifically AI as a part of the technology strategy. Act as a catalyst for change, identifying opportunities for transformation and innovation. Work closely with various teams' across the organization to drive applied use cases for execution for the core technology teams.

Reports to: Head of Technology Innovation, CTO Office

Qualifications and Experience:

- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Technology Innovation to drive our organization's strategic efforts in identifying and driving cutting edge technologies such as AI that drive innovation and growth.

- The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, exceptional strategic thinking skills and a proven track record of successfully driving transformative technology solutions.

- Experience in technology strategy and/or innovation functions within financial services firms, consulting firms or large enterprises is a plus

- Significant stakeholder and matrix engagement experience within large global companies

- Authority to speak knowledgeable way about innovating with emerging technologies, especially with AI and Cloud

- Listens and communicates technical subjects to both technical and business audiences

- Proven gravitas to interface with various senior and high profile stakeholders within technology sector and broader business community

Key responsibilities:

- Responsible for driving the development and execution of our technology innovation roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify emerging trends.

- Articulating market trends and driving implementation areas

- Refinement of AI strategy in collaboration with the core team and the wider organization

- Engagement and communication about key priority areas with senior stakeholders such as architect leads

- Ensures the team work streams and projects are well managed

- Supporting with customer meetings and client roundtables

- Serves as an advisor to senior leadership teams on business and technology strategies, guiding discussions

- Mentor and train more junior colleagues

Critical deliverables:

- Preparation and execution of innovation agenda

- Strategic engagement with key partners such as Microsoft and other big tech companies

- Strategic engagement with startups and other 3rd parties such as big tech companies

- Execution of agreed key projects in collaboration with the core teams

- Execution of customer engagement program

Technical / Job Function Knowledge:

- Technology Strategy, Cloud Strategy, Innovation, Partnerships

Business and sector expertise:

- Understanding of Technology Strategy in financial services organizations or similar regulated organizations

- Experience of working with multi-country organizations and highly matrixed organisations

- Experience of developing and influencing strategic working relationships both internally and externally

Leadership and management experience:

- Ability to quickly build and maintain effective relationships with technology and business stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization

- Be the voice of the Innovation and Emerging Technology Strategy for various stakeholders across the business, influencing technology decisions and strategy

- Ability to effectively drive new projects in a collaborative way

- Thought leadership through identification of industry trends

Personal skills and capabilities:

- Strong PowerPoint and O365 skills

- Demonstrated experience of successfully delivering complex initiatives with tight timelines

- Listens and communicates technical subjects to both technical and business audiences

- Proven gravitas to interface with various senior and high profile stakeholders within technology sector and broader business community
