- The AIM organization is looking for an individual to drive strategic thought leadership as we expand our presence in Pune, act as liaison with business partners between North America and India and oversee the site from an executive management mandate. 


- The pune site is expected to grow into an organization of 250 people across Risk, CCAR, US consumer, Fraud, AML etc. and a senior leader is essential to drive the growth of the organization. We need someone who is excited about reimagining the future of analytics and make talent management an everyday priority, continually uses networking skills to leverage all parts of Citi businesses to enhance the working environment.

Job Description Summary: 

- The Pune Site head will be accountable in partnership with the AIM Leadership & Pune Citi Service Center (CSC) leadership team, for smooth operations, delivery, governance and oversight of the Pune AIM teams

- The Incumbent would be have a direct responsibility as a part of the NA Consumer Analytics team in India. The role would have responsibility against one of the areas of Business Intelligence / Reporting, Strategic Analytics etc. The person would have responsibility for one of the functions within the NA team.

- The role will devise and execute all the hiring, retention, talent development, performance management and project delivery practices in line with the AIM India organization

- The role of the Site lead is to manage four separate aspects- growth, local compliance, conformance to business guidelines and requirements, and employee motivation and growth- in a seamless structure

- Manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.


- Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.


- Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.


- Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy.


- Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses.


Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities.


- Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an intergral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.

Responsibilities :

- Analytics leader with experience in analytics and information management across multi-product relationships for customers and households

- Must demonstrably understand the data sources and analytic techniques that are used at scale by large consumer finance institutions, but also have significant experience leading and innovating in the areas of customer recognition, cross-channel servicing and marketing, digital acquisitions and attribution, and client retention through a series of appropriate business intelligence, analysis, models and strategies, implemented either internally in our decision systems, or externally at third-party providers such as the credit bureaus and database marketing companies/DSPs

- Significant influence and execution skills in ambiguous contexts, and should be able to articulate a regional strategy that stakeholders will accept, including colleagues in the areas of information technology, operations, marketing, finance, credit, fraud, and authorizations, in order to build next-generation data platforms and analytics solutions that improve the customer experience and create sustainable business growth outcomes

- Passion for analytics as a craft and the people who practice it

- The analytics leader must be a practitioner and an advocate for the value of analytics in refining business outcomes and must have a demonstrated ability to work within the company and across industries to identify and source talent, design required training to cover analytics skills gaps, and grow and promote analytics talent

- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications :

- 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years managerial experience

- Financial/Business Analysis and/or credit/risk analysis with ability to impact key business drivers via a disciplined analytic process

- Deep understanding of program performance and business plans / P&L impacts

- Collaborative team player

- Expertise in statistical modeling, big data/machine learning, data analysis, and excellent project management skills

- Strategic management consulting experience

Education:

- Bachelors/University degree, Master's degree preferred; managerial experience

- Responsible for smooth operations, delivery, governance and oversight of the site

- Advise/update the senior management on strategic development and key planning issues in Pune from talent, budget, capacity and infrastructure perspective and make recommendations on major decisions including formulation of policy

- Partner with the mangers of respective verticals for establishment and seamless management of the talent and work delivery

- Oversee infrastructure set up, hiring and ensuring smooth transitions

- Partner with HR and business partners to drive talent as a critical enabler Ensure key talent priorities for CoE are aligned with the business strategy and priorities

- Developing relevant reporting structures to ensure that the business units get adequate and timely coverage/information to avoid any communication/oversight gaps

- Maintain the expense monitoring, invoice validation and payment process discipline for Mumbai Center and establish a robust Financial Planning and Analysis for Mumbai Center expenses to identify areas where expense efficiencies could be improved

- Represent the CoE in various management forums, BRCC and manage the compliance and regulatory obligations as per CSIPL policies within India

- Act as the key interface with the business stakeholders for all matters pertaining to the CSIL

- Working with local Legal, Compliance and Finance teams to define/modify the processes as required for seamless operations and delivery

- Provide leadership, coach and guide the employees in functional matters, important to have good functional/business understanding

- Create and provide opportunities across teams/geographies/functions to enable development of well-rounded next line of leadership

- Establish very strong and efficient hiring practices to attract best in class talent

- Champion a collaborative culture and provide inspirational leadership to create a healthy work environment

- Establish robust & consistent governance framework & process with all key stakeholders covering topics such as MCA, COB, Information Security, Data Privacy, adherence to all internal and external controls frameworks, training etc

- Define the way forward for the growth of the Pune CoE from infrastructure support and capacity perspective

Qualifications : 

Education Required:

- Bachelor's degree in any of the quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Business Finance, Statistics

- Master's Degree in Finance/Mathematics/Management is preferred

 Required Years of Related Experience: 15+ years of experience

- Minimum of 10 years of management experience will be necessary to be able to provide leadership while interfacing with the country, regional and global functional senior management team in NAM and APAC region

- In-Depth understanding of Talent Management and governance functions

- Experience in similar COE set ups either in a functional leadership role or as a line manager with strong exposure to Talent Management, Governance, Risk is preferred
