Job Summary:

- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Reporting Analyst/Manager to join our finance team.

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

- This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Statement Preparation:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).

- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and completely.

- Maintain supporting documentation for financial statements.

Financial Analysis:

- Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

- Conduct variance analysis and explain deviations from budget or forecasts.

Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

- Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports (SEC filings, tax reports).

- Assist with internal and external audits.

Process Improvement:

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Participate in system implementations and upgrades.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and management.

- Respond to inquiries and provide financial information as needed.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure alignment.

Budgeting and Forecasting (Depending on Experience):

- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.

- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast.

- Analyze variances and provide explanations.

Team Leadership (Manager Level):

- Supervise and mentor junior financial reporting staff.

- Assign tasks and monitor team performance.

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of team deliverables.

Qualifications:

Experience:

- Analyst: 2-5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting roles.

- Manager: 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, with experience leading a team.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Experience with financial reporting tools (Hyperion, Cognos).

Soft Skills:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA).

- Experience with specific industry regulations and reporting requirements.

- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
